5) Look at actual PowerPC instructions being executed by your computer.
Eric had some pieces of this already done when he got the inspiration. We used a shell that had code for changing every pixel on screen. Jörg Brown and Eric had code that sniffed PC locations from an interrupt vector.
Darin's main contribution, besides motivational assistance, was a funny little class for drawing text at interrupt time.

Oh yeah, the little cursor turds and other graphic anomalies are what we call "unintentional spice." Maybe we'll make a version without those. No promises.
